Allie Raye Allen, MT-BC

Hi, I’m Allie Allen (she/her), a board-certified music therapist who is a passionate advocate for whole-person wellness, trauma-informed care and disability and neurodiversity-affirming practice. With undergraduate training at Queens University of Charlotte and graduate training at Augsburg University, I’ve spent over ten years of my life intrenched in the world of music therapy and am excited to now use my experiences and expertise to create something new and meaningful in the Triad area.

My approach integrates creative modalities like music, art, movement, and play. I am trained in DIRFLoortime®, a relationship-based model that nurtures emotional and developmental growth through connection. This training has deeply informed my work with young clients and their families, helping to strengthen the parent-child bond, foster regulation, and build shared joy from the inside out.

My work is also rooted in trauma-informed care and a belief that everyone deserves spaces where they feel safe, understood and empowered to heal on their own terms. I specialize in working with neurodivergent clients— supporting individuals who often feel overlooked or misunderstood by traditional systems of care. I hold a deep respect for each person’s unique way of experiencing and interacting with the world. My goal is to support you in creating the life you want to live in a way that works for you.

I believe healing isn’t about “fixing” what’s broken, but about creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, empowered and affirmed to show up as their full selves. Whether I’m working with children, teens or adults, I approach each relationship with curiosity, compassion and cultural humility.

Outside of clinical work, I’m a community builder with a long-term vision of developing inclusive, culturally rooted wellness programs alongside my husband in his community in Bangladesh— centering disability justice, creative expression and trauma recovery.

Whether you’re here to explore therapy, collaborate on a potential project, or just to say hi— Welcome. I’m so glad that you’re here.
